2016 International Griffon Health Survey
The Country Griffon Bruxellois Club of NSW conducted an international health survey on Griffons to ascertain the overall health of the breed as described by the breeders and owners of Griffons.
The survey ran for one month from February to March 2016 and recieved 457 responses from individuals. These responses referred to over 9,000 Griffons making it the largest survey on the breed ever undertaken and arguably providing the most accurate assessment of the health of the breed in its entire history.
From these responses the top 5 issues identified were:
1. Slipping Patellas - - 224
2. Cleft Palate/ Hair Lip -193
3. Undescended testicles-- 127
4. Cataracts - 104
5. Inguinal Hernia --94
